Managing Custom Fields

This is a paid feature.

If you want to enable Custom Fields during checkout, you can easily do this with Selz.

Whether you want to collect phone number, birthdate, gift recipient information, or delivery details, our Custom Fields feature makes it easier than ever to seamlessly collect this information. Custom Fields comes with every Standard and Pro plan.

Types of Custom Fields available:

  • Text: A buyer can enter text only
  • Number: A buyer can enter only a number
  • Date: A buyer can select a date from a calendar
  • Checkbox: A buyer can click a checkbox to select details
  • Radio: A buyer can choose from multiple different options
  • Droplist: A buyer can choose from multiple options

Here’s how to enable Custom Fields

  1. Log into your Selz account
  2. Click on Settings
  3. Choose Checkout in the menu
  4. Click on the Custom Fields tab
  5. Add your Custom FieldsAdd your Custom Fields
  6. Click Save.

How to disable Custom Fields

  1. Log into your Selz account
  2. Click on Settings
  3. Choose Checkout in the menu
  4. Click on the Custom Fields tab
  5. Click on the Custom Field you want to disable or delete
  6. Switch the Custom Field off

  7. If you wish to delete the Custom Field, you can do this by clicking ‘Delete’ and confirming at the bottom of the Custom Field page.

Your custom field(s) will be saved in the left-hand column and can be edited at any time. Any Custom Fields added will be enabled during checkout. You can always manage the active Custom Fields from this page.

Any Custom Fields collected from your buyers will also be included in a CSV export and on order confirmation emails.
